Programme Delivery & Recovery

Bringing Control to a Complex Migration Programme

A multi-workstream migration programme requiring stronger governance, owned dependencies and a single reliable view of delivery.
1.Context
A large organisation running a migration programme across several technical and operational workstreams.
2.The challenge
Workstreams were progressing independently, dependencies were not consistently owned and senior stakeholders lacked a single reliable view of delivery status.
3.My role
Programme-level delivery leadership, responsible for governance, planning integration and recovery coordination.
4.Actions and approach
  • Established a consolidated view of milestones, dependencies and decisions.
  • Reset governance forums to focus on decisions.
  • Clarified ownership and escalation routes.
  • Introduced evidence-led progress reporting.
5.Outcome
Established a clearer, integrated view of programme delivery, with defined ownership of cross-workstream dependencies, stronger escalation routes and governance focused on timely decisions rather than activity reporting.
6.Lesson for prospective clients
Recovery often starts with making dependencies visible and owned. Until that happens, revised plans tend to slip for the same reasons as the original.
